Region 2000 communications officer promoted to new role

Virginia’s Region 2000 Partnership is pleased to announce that Traci Blido has been promoted to the position of Program Manager, Economic Development while continuing in her role as Communications Officer for the Partnership. Traci has been with the Partnership since April 2007 and has developed a regional recruitment strategy to better attract individuals to the region to fill high-tech positions, and has implemented new channels for improved communication with Region 2000 stakeholders and state and local officials.
 
In her expanded role, Traci will be responsible for managing an investor relations program in support of existing business and will help generate qualified new business prospects to the region under the direction of Bryan David, Executive Director of the Economic Development Council.
 
Traci holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Public Relations from Liberty University and is President-elect of the International Association of Business Communicators Lynchburg chapter. Prior to joining Virginia’s Region 2000 Partnership, she worked for Ericsson Inc. for 10 years in Lynchburg and Dallas, as Director of Corporate Communications.
