Local Government Council looks at park and ride opportunities
ParkWith decreased funding for roadway improvements, the Local Government Council has taken a proactive approach for localities by looking at the feasibility of a regional Park and Ride Plan and conducting research to help localities make decisions on such plans.  The Council has identified the best locations to establish park and ride lots in which commuters could car pool in and out of the communities where they live. A program like this could reduce traffic and air pollution while also helping residents save on gas and auto expenses.  To view the Local Government Council's full report (large file), download the doc here. If you have questions or comments, please contact Cayce Dagenhart.
