CAER seeks Executive Director

The Center for Advanced Engineering and Research (CAER) is seeking an Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible for the management of all programs implemented by the CAER. This program currently focuses on a recently established initiative to deliver the research capacities of universities for the benefit of Region 2000 businesses. Future activities will likely include the application of technology in manufacturing, distance learning, focus on productivity, computer science management techniques, etc. The Executive Director is responsible for the selection and performance of other staff employed by the CAER; and a Board of Directors will employ and oversee the Executive Director.
 

Adjunct Engineering Instructors Needed

CVCC is looking for individuals who would be interested in being an adjunct instructor in engineering for one of the state’s four year universities in Lynchburg. Initial qualifications include a doctorate in engineering and/or science. Those interested in possibly teaching in this program should contact Stan Shoun, VP of Workforce Development at : shouns@cvcc.vccs.edu or 832-7610. There will be a regional informational meeting in the near future.

 
Governor's School Internship Program

Here is your chance to work with some of the region's brightest up and coming stars of Science, Engineering and Technology. Central Virginia Governor's School is seeking internship opportunities/mentors for students in 2007.
