Mark your calendar now for our Spring Wired Wednesday luncheon on March 7th. Karen Jackson, Director of the Commonwealth's Office of Telework Promotion and Broadband Assistance will be our guest speaker. A panel session with local CIO's is planned in conjunction with Ms. Jackson's address to discuss the current state and future needs of the telecommuting employee. VTA Legislative Reception
 

You are invited to attend the annual Virginia Technology Alliance Legislative Reception on January 24th in Richmond, where statewide technology business leaders can meet and talk with decision makers from the legislative and executive branches of state government. Hosted by the Greater Richmond Technology Council and the Secretary of Technology, you can register here.

Adjunct Engineering Instructors Needed

CVCC is looking for individuals who would be interested in being an adjunct instructor in engineering for one of the state’s four year universities in Lynchburg. Initial qualifications include a doctorate in engineering and/or science. Those interested in possibly teaching in this program should contact Stan Shoun, VP of Workforce Development at: shouns@cvcc.vccs.edu or 832-7610. There will be a regional informational meeting in the near future.
