Save the date NOW and make plans to exhibit or attend our Future Focus EXPO on October 26 at Liberty University.

The Future Focus EXPO is focused on showcasing and networking the region’s leading organizations that are contributing to the explosive growth of new high-paying jobs and paving the way for a stable economy in Virginia’s Region 2000.

Any organization or business that has a vested interest in the future of the region and is a contributor to growth within the industrial, technology, or business support sectors should be at this event.

Region 2000 Jobs Website Goes Live

Another Benefit to Area Businesses from Virginia's Region 2000.
It’s more convenient than ever for employees to find your job postings, thanks to the new Web site, www.region2000jobs.com. At no cost, you can add a link to this page that will guide prospective employees directly to the job postings on your company’s own web site. The links are organized by major industry categor helping to match employees with the right jobs. Take advantage of the exposure this site offers your postings; visit www.region2000jobs.com and sign in to register your link. Because good employees are easier to find when your job postings are easier to find.

Partners in Education Committee Forming

We are looking for volunteers to sit on our Partners in Education Steering Committee. The Tech Council has a partnership with the Lynchburg City Schools’ Career-Technical Education Program and was established to enhance and expand educational opportunities for students. The partnership provides direct support for the Computer System Technology Program, by applying association resources to heighten instruction and student performance. Centra Health Wins Governor's Award
 

Centra Health was honored Monday at COVITS for winning one of six Governor's Awards. Their award recognized the innovative use of technology to promote shared efficiencies and maximize resources. Award Winner: Centra Health – for their implementation of electronic health records for physician access in the greater Lynchburg area. Congratulations!

Endorsed Event - Woods Roger's IP Seminar
 

Woods Rogers will be hosting a seminar "What Every Business Person Needs to Know about Intellectual Property" on September 21 at the Holiday Inn Select. Topics to be covered include:
