The 6'th Annual Technology Awards Banquet was held May 20, 2008
This year’s keynote address speaker was Dr. Robert Lindberg, President and Executive Director of the National Institute of Aerospace. Located in Hampton, VA, the NIA is a non-profit research and graduate education institute created to conduct leading-edge aerospace and atmospheric research, develop new technologies for the nation and help inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
2008 Award Winners
The 2008 technology award winners were: Robert Hartman of Weldex Sales Corporation - Innovator of the year; award sponsored by AREVA. Advanced manufacturing Technology, Inc. represented by Ben Roderique - Technology Company of the Year; award sponsored by Virginia's Center for Innovative Technology. Kim Hanse, a technical education teacher at E.C. Glass High School - Educator of the Year; award sponsored by nTelos. Lee Cobb, a long-time proponent of tech-based economic development - Technology Champion of the Year; award sponsored by Virginia's Region 2000 Tecnology Council Board of Directors.
