Bicycle public meetings set for May 25-27

Four public meetings will be held from May 25 - 27 to provide information and allow local citizens to comment on a draft Region 2000 Bicycle Plan. The Bike Plan provides a brief summation of specific roadways that have been identified for bicycle road network connections throughout the Region 2000 area which includes the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford and Campbell and the cities of Bedford and Lynchburg.
Interested citizens are encouraged to attend one of the following public meetings. The material presented will the same at each meeting.
Tue., May 25, 5-7 p.m. - Lynchburg Public Library, Community Room, 2315 Memorial Ave., Lynchburg VA
Wed., May 26, 5-6:30 p.m. - Bedford Central Library, 321 N. Bridge St., Bedford, VA
Thurs., May 27, 5-6:30 p.m. - Campbell County Main Library, 684 Village Highway, Lower Level, Rustburg, VA; or
Thurs., May 27, 5-6:30 p.m. - R. Robert Jamerson Library, 157 Main St., Appomattox, VA

The Bicycle Plan has been developed through funding by the Virginia Department of Transportation, the Central Virginia Metropolitan Planning Organization (CVMPO) and Virginia’s Region 2000 Local Government Council.
