CEDS Public Meeting to be held January 12

Virginia¹s Region 2000 Local Government Council will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, January 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the Lynchburg
Public Library to communicate goals and objectives in a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) which is currently being developed. Region 2000 citizens are invited to attend the meeting to learn about the CEDS process and to provide comments. 


The CEDS document, once complete around August 2011, will be submitted to the Federal Economic Development Administration and Gov. Robert F. McDonnell, and will be pivotal in obtaining federal infrastructure and development grants for Region 2000 localities in the future.
