Claytor/Mattox Street Area Revitalization Project – CDBG project

This project will provide housing rehabilitation, water and sewer system upgrades, and road improvements to a three street area within the Town of Brookneal. The project also includes removal of dilapidated structures within the project area. Currently road, water and sewer, and housing assistance to twelve families has been completed. This project was made available through a CDBG grant through the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development. Other funding partners for this project include the Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project, Inc., the United States Department of Agriculture – Rural Development, and Lynchburg Community Action Group, Campbell County, and the Town of Brookneal.
