The CAER is your local source for engineering and science education, delivering a wide variety of professional development opportunities.

Partnerships
The CAER connects you with a large network of engineering and science professionals, as well as key research resources. We have Master Research Agreements with UVA, VT, JMU and LU SEACS. In addition we have collaborations with LU Wireless Research Lab, WICAT at UVA, Wireless@VT, Sweet Briar College, and National Instruments.
Support
The CAER works with you to provide tuition assistance, refresher courses, counseling, cusomized education courses and other support services as needed.

CAER is a National Instruments Certified LabVIEW Academy
The CAER has been recognized and certified as an official LabVIEW Academy school by National Instruments. CAER is now part of an exclusive group of academic institutions worldwide that teach LabVIEW as a course. The LabVIEW Academy uses a blended learning model that combines face-to-face teaching with engaging content and hands-on lab exercises. This teaching model prepares students for the demands of industry and higher education in engineering, computer science and related fields. Professional Development Hours
Since 2006 the Commonwealth of Virginia has instituted continuing education requirements for Professional Engineers who are renewing or reinstating their licenses. Seminar attendees will earn Professional Development Hours (PDH) in addition to a broader knowledge and understanding of the respective subject.Ca

LabVIEW Academy - Core I & II and Core III Spring - Summer 2012
Learn National Instrument's LabVIEW software through the CAER LabVIEW Academy. The classes will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on consecutive Fridays.
Core I & II combined courses are scheduled for June 2012 - Offical Dates to be determined.
Core III couse is scheduled for April 2012 - Offical Dates to be determined.
