About the Economic Development Council

Virginia's Region 2000 Economic Development Council serves as a catalyst in creating more wealth, better jobs, and higher incomes for the region and helping existing companies recruit a qualified workforce. It is also dedicated to establishing a strong research presence in the region through the Center for Advanced Engineering and Research.
