SERVICES AUTHORITY

On July 1, 2008, the current City of Lynchburg landfill becomes the Concord Turnpike Regional Landfill and the Campbell County landfill closed for later use. The new regional landfill serves Lynchburg and Campbell County residents, as well as participating localities that transfer residential waste to the new landfill (the City of Bedford, Appomattox County, and Nelson County).

Household waste disposal unchanged :

Weekly household waste disposal in these participating communities remains unchanged. These guidelines only apply to those residents or commercial users who make trips to the landfill, on an occasional or regular basis.
