Local Government Council issues RFP for Central Virginia long-range transporation plan update
The Region 2000 Local Government Council will receive proposals from qualified and experienced transportation planning/engineering firms to undertake a long-range transportation plan update for the Central Virginia Metropolitan Planning Organization (CVMPO).
This plan will fulfill Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) planning requirements specified in 23 CFR 450.322. The plan will address the seven planning factors from the SAFETEA-LU transportation bill, successor to the Transportation Equity Act for the Twenty-first Century (TEA-21), and Environmental Justice requirements.
The Local Government Council provides staff support and services for the CVMPO. The CVMPO is the designated metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the Lynchburg, Virginia region.
Proposals must be received by 4 p.m. E.S.T. on January 23, 2009.
