AFID GRANT
A new state grant will allow Region 2000 to launch a comprehensive look at our farm and forestry economy in Lynchburg and the surrounding four counties. Governor Bob McDonnell has announced that the Region 2000 Local Government Council will receive $35,000 from the Agriculture & Forestry Industries Development Fund (AFID) to be matched by an equal amount of Region 2000 funds.
