Rehabilitative Services Incentive Fund (RSIF)
The Virginia’s General Assembly, in 1994, approved the creation of the Rehabilitative Services Incentive Fund (RSIF) to address underserved or unmet needs identified by local DSB’s in needs assessments and to provide community programs to persons with physical and/or sensory disabilities.
The RSIF grants are one-time or multi-year grant available to public, for-profit and non-profit organizations to meet the direct needs of individuals with physical and sensory disabilities. The RSIF grants are reimbursement grants that require a local match. The local match, can be generated from local government, fund raising, or business, agency, or personal donation. The RSIF grants may be used to increase current services, create new services or develop and create new program innovations or systems.
RSIF applications are generally provided on an annual basis and are awarded on a competitive basis.
For more information on the RSIF grants please contact Kelly Hitchcock at 434-845-5678 ext 218 or at khitchcock@region2000.org
