Research Facilities

Research Facilities

One of the TBED strategies of the CAER is to develop the physical infrastructure needed to support knowledge creation, technology transfer and innovation in the region.  As part of this strategy, a variety of research and education facilities have been, or are being created.  These include:

  • a permanent research and education facility located in the New London Technology Park in Bedford County
  • a Wireless Research Lab (WRL) located on the campus of Liberty University and operated by their School of Engineering and Computational Science (SEACS) in collaboration with the CAER
  • a Wireless Sensor Network Lab (WSNL) located on the campus of CVCC and operated as part of a collaborative effort between CAER, UVA and CVCC
