Bryan leads a technology-based, regional economic development program that focuses on retention and growth of the existing employer base, as well as recruitment of new companies and employees to the region.

Kathy supports economic development initiatives and projects within the Partnership and is responsible for tracking and allocating private and public funding for the Economic Development Council.

As Executive Director of the CAER, Bob works to target growth industries and high tech industries in Region 2000 and establish effective and beneficial relationships between these industries and major R&D resources, resulting in innovation and the practical implementation of innovation in the region.

Nick coordinates the Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program (CGEP) at Central Virginia Community College (CVCC). Graduate students can earn advanced engineering degrees from Virginia Tech, UVA, and ODU through IP-based videoconferencing delivery from Lynchburg, Virginia.

Gary is the Executive Director of the Local Government Council and the Services Authority and actively works with the political leaders of Region 2000 to improve regional cooperation.

Rosalie is responsible for accounting functions in the Local Government Council, Economic Development Council and the Workforce Investment Board.

Solid Waste Director
Clarke is responsible for directing the solid waste management operations of the Services Authority, an entity created for regional solid waste disposal and other services beginning July 1, 2008 by the cities of Lynchburg and Bedford and the counties of Campbell and Nelson.

Diane is responsible for recycling programs within the Region 2000 Services Authority. She also educates the public on the benefits of recycling through speaking engagements for civic groups and schools.

Bob manages regional planning initiatives for the Local Government Council and is involved in areas of transportation, water supply and emergency management services.

Cayce is responsible for regional transportation planning projects and works with the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). She also works with the rural long-range transportation plan among other initiatives.

April creates and maintains regional GIS data and maps that can be combined with geographically referenced data. April compiles geographic data for localities from a variety of sources including census data, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and existing maps.

Kelly works with localities to apply for and manage Community Development Block Grants. She specializes in grant writing and participates in several regional environmental projects such as Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) studies, watershed protection and greenways.

Scott works with localities to apply for and manage grants including Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and Transportation Enhancement Grants. In addition to grant writing, Scott specializes in downtown revitalization and economic development initiatives.

Larry serves as the Operations Manager for the Region 2000 Services Authority. He oversees daily operations at the Concord Turnpike Regional Landfill.

 

Technology Council

Jonathan works with regional tech-based companies and Region 2000 localities to promote technology innovation and interests that make a positive impact on the economy. The Council also works with building the technology pipeline of workers through its “Get Set” program, career fairs, and educational academies for middle and high school students.
