Tech Council's awards banquet to be held May 19

The 8th Annual Technology Awards Banquet will be held May 19, 2009 at the Kirkley Hotel in Lynchburg. The event will begin with a networking reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and an awards ceremony featuring keynote speaker James Batterson, Senior Advisor to the Commonwealth on S.T.E.M. Initiatives.

This year's award categories are:

Technology Company of the Year, Sponsored by Virginia's Center for Innovative Technology
Innovator of the Year, Sponsored by AREVA
Educator of the Year, Sponsored by nTelos

Tickets to the event are $60 per person, or $50 for parties of two or more. A limited number of reserved tables (seating for 8) are available for $375.
