YPCV's Loper Named to Senator Warner's Committee
November 8, 2011
Born out of Senator Mark Warner's desire to bring Virginia's next generation of leaders together to build strong connections across the Commonwealth, the first Young Professional's Summit was held last month in Richmond. Warner believes that Virginia's young professionals are "our best hope to keep the Commonwealth moving forward," and over 300 young professionals attended the first, very successful event.
YPCV Executive Director Abe Loper helped plan the first summit and was selected again to join the 2012 Young Professional's Summit planning committee. Loper was chosen "specifically as a result of his leadership and commitment to our Region 2000 community," according to a letter from Senator Warner's Deputy State Director Dr. Dietra Trent.
